An night of social dancing and dance performances by DFD students and staff!

What is Showcase?
Showcase is our bi-annual event where students who enjoy the performing aspect of Ballroom dancing showcase their skills Dancing With The Stars-style! Students often work for months on choreographed routines of their choice to their choice of music. An array of dance styles, levels and categories make for an exciting and entertaining evening. In between the solo performances and group heats, there is plenty of general social dancing for everyone and an assortment of complimentary snacks to keep your energy up so you can shimmy through the night and cheer on your dancing friends!
Everyone - including non-dancing friends - is welcome!
If you're new to dancing, Showcase is a great way to experience the artistic as well as the social of dancing. Being an audience member at your first Showcase is a fun, no-pressure way to get involved and see what it’s all about and you can ask your teacher how you can get involved in performing the next time!
Seating
Seating is on a first come-first serve basis. Doors open at 6:45 pm. Please arrive early for your choice of seats. General dancing begins at 7:00 pm. First performance is at 7:30 pm, last performance is around 9:40 pm. If you are a couple sitting at a table, please sit on the same side of the table to make it clear that the other seats are available and give everyone equal access to the dance floor.
