Lya Elcagu is a professional tango dancer, two-role teacher, and somatic movement educator. She brings over 15 years of teaching experience, is trained in Buenos Aires - where she is based - and a former core instructor at the renowned DNI Tango School. In her teaching she blends deep traditional knowledge with modern body awareness. Her approach integrates traditional tango technique with body awareness and conscious movement. Her work combines the elegance and connection of traditional tango with clear, embodied technique rooted in yoga, Pilates, and other movement science - helping dancers not only improve their tango, but deepen their presence, musicality, and comfort in movement.
